Canning Apple Slices Raw Pack with Honey

  • Apples – 10 pounds for about 9 pints
  • 1 1/2 cups honey
  • 5 cups of water
  • lemon juice

Peel, core and slice your apples. Use an apple peeler or just a knife, then place the slices in a bowl of water with about 1/4 cup of lemon juice to keep them from browning.

In a pan heat the water and honey. Once the mixture is almost to a boil place the apple slice (drained) into sterilized jars then ladle the hot mixture  over the apples and place the lids on the jars.  Process in a water bath for 20 minutes for pints or quarts.
